Training Guide - Inventory Management

Quick Reference below to common tasks in MYOB Acumatica - Stock Management and User Manual Access. 

New Stock Item

1. Go to the Inventory module and select the Stock Items tab.
2 Click on the New button to create a new stock item.
3. Fill in the required fields such as Item Code, Description, and Unit of Measure.
4. Set the pricing and costing information for the item.
5. Save the new stock item.

New - Non-Stock Item

1. Go to the Inventory module and select Items.
2. Click on the New button and select Non-Stock Item.
3. Fill in the required fields such as Item ID, Description, and Unit of Measure.
4. Save the item and it will be available for use in transactions.

Perform a Stocktake

1. Select Prepare Physical Count in the Inventory Workflow.
2. Select Generate PI and conduct the physical stock count.
3. Enter the counted quantities into the PI worksheet.
4. Review and adjust any discrepancies between the counted quantities and the recorded quantities.
5. Finalize the stocktake and update the inventory records in the system from this menu.

Do a Manual Stock Adjustment

1. Go to the Inventory Control module and select Stock Adjustments.
2. Click on the New button to create a new stock adjustment.
3. Enter the details of the adjustment, including the date, reference, and reason.
4. Add the items you want to adjust and enter the quantity and value of the adjustment.
5. Save the adjustment and post it to update your inventory levels.
